Gold Coast In a Glass @ Currumbin

Some of the Gold Coast’s best wines will be showcased at Gold Coast in a Glass – a special Winemakers’ Dinner being hosted on Thursday 27 August at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary as part of Tastes of Gold Coast.

The dinner will be held in the new Café Sanctuary with Executive Chef Alan Jane creating a special five-course menu to complement the wines from Sirromet, O’Reilly’s and the Cedar Creek Estate Vineyard and Winery.

Chef Alan Jane said Gold Coast in a Glass had been developed to reflect Café Sanctuary’s philosophy of using the best local, fresh ingredients as well as providing the opportunity for diners to try some of the region’s best wines.

The menu includes local seafood and meats and introduces some distinctly flavoured local produce including wild limes and mushrooms, locally produced cheeses and a signature Gold Coast dessert being created for the event.

In keeping with the local flavour, the Jaran Aboriginal Dancers will be performing on the night and winemakers from each of the featured wineries will also make a guest appearance to talk about their wines and their regional attributes.
