Tastes of Gold Coast has some classy performers to savour at over 30 events during the 17 day festival running from Friday 21 August to Sunday 6 September - here is a taste of what's in store...

Visitors this year include a glittering array of internationally renowned chefs including Tobie Puttock, George Calombaris, Michael Moore, Dominique Rizzo and Paulo Siqueira.

Gold Coast's food and wine scene is amongst the most dazzling in Queensland. Driven by its location, the astonishing array of fresh produce on its doorstep, its multicultural population and by passionate and talented chefs who draw their inspiration from the far reaches of the globe, the Gold Coast has evolved a dining style all its own.

Mushrooms on Main announce that Brazilian Chef Paulo Siqueira will be in town on Saturday 29th August to judge Mushrooms on Main in Tedder Avenue.

Born in Brazil with over 20 years experience in the preparation of mushrooms for food and medicinal uses, Paulo has participated in the development of social and environmental projects in collaboration with the United Nations and the Brazilian government.

Come and say 'hello' and receive a free bag of local mushrooms!

Local Flavour

In keeping with the "all things local" flavour of Tastes of Gold Coast, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary has engaged the Jaran Aboriginal Dancers to perform at the Gold Coast in a Glass function on Thursday 27 August.

Jaran Aboriginal Dancers

The dancers will support a line-up of top talent with winemakers from Sirromet, O'Reilly's and Cedar Creek Estate Vineyard and Winery also making a guest appearance to talk about their wines and their regional attributes.

Guests to this special Winemakers' Dinner will enjoy Executive Chef Alan Jane's five-course menu to complement these local wines.

Labrador

Tastes of Gold Coast comes to Labrador on 23 August with a food festival in front of Aqua apartments.

This exciting community event will see Marine Parade closed off and traffic diverted during the festivities that run between 10am and 2pm.

Produce is being sourced from the local area, hearty, home-style food supplied by local organizations and dishes being served from restaurants in the precinct.

There will be lots of entertainment for the kids and live entertainment on stage, so bring the family for a great day out.
